WMM 1 is a foundation class that introduces you to the principles, science, and history upon which Wholistic Manual Medicine is built. We’ll learn an efficient, effective evaluation and the critical role evaluation plays in improving your therapeutic outcomes. We’ll learn the 5 Steps of Release derived from the physics of Chaos. These 5 steps apply to every tissue we will study in the Core Curriculum. As we move through levels of increasingly complex tissues the details of the release become more subtle and more profound. Class one begins with the tissues of muscle and fascia. We look at what emotions and thoughts are and they’re effect on our body in ways that can be beneficial or harmful. We’ll also explore how the homeostatic systems of the autonomic nervous system and immune system are interwoven with emotions and thought, muscle and fascia.
Take everything we learned in WMM 1– Muscle & Emotion, Fascia & Thought; and apply it to our understanding of viscera release with an added dimension of complexity. Explore the relationship of the internal organs and the autonomic nervous system, immune system and feelings. Learn the anatomy of the viscera and their placement in reference to boney landmarks, as well as the anatomy of a feeling. Hone the skills of evaluating structure and function and the critic role perception plays in how and where we treat.
